Location: Canyonback Nike Loop is a 6 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Los Angeles, California.
Story: During the Cold War this was a military reservation. LA96C was one 16 NIKE missile sites that protected Los Angeles from a feared attack by Soviet bombers. It was an active battery from 1956-1968 with radar searching the sky for enemy airplanes.
New military technology made the NIKE missiles obsolete, and the site has been made into a park. Nature is reclaiming the military ruins.

This trail was challenging and strenuous with its steep hills and the length of it totaling to 13.7 miles. However, at the end of the trail leading the Los Pinos Peak revealed a 360 view of three counties (Orange County, San Diego County and Riverside County), the Pacific and the tallest peak of the Santa Ana mountains (Santiago Peak).

We went trail running up a popular trail that leads to a lost campsite then continues on to the Mt. Wilson peak. This is what's left of a 500-year-old tree that collapses over into a river bed just recently on Christmas 2017.

Location: Lake View Terrace and Doc Larsen Trail. This is the aftermath of the fires that brush through these Lake View Terrace’s Mountains towards the end of last year.
Location: Inspiration Point via Sam Merril Trail to Castle Canyon Trail. I named this experience INTENSEspiration because the trek to the top was rough and strenuous. Steep inclines, eroding surfaces, rocks all over the trail. Honestly, it sucked but it was kinda worth it in the end. Plus, it was a great workout.
These are some of the wonders that are located at the old LA zoo in Griffith Park.
Location: La Tuna Canyon. The aftermath of the La Tuna 🔥 over the summer. More than 7,000 acres was scorched and five buildings were destroyed. “At the peak of the fire, more than 700 residents were evacuated, including from the communities of Burbank, Glendale and the eastern San Fernando Valley. The cause of the fire remains unknown, but officials say there is no evidence of arson”

"The Mount Lowe Railway was the third in a series of scenic mountain railroads in America created as a tourist attraction on Echo Mountain and Mount Lowe, north of Los Angeles, California. The railway, originally incorporated by Professor Thaddeus S. C. Lowe as the Pasadena & Mt. Wilson Railroad Co. existed from 1893 until its official abandonment in 1938, and had the distinction of being the only scenic mountain, electric traction (overhead electric trolley) railroad ever built in the United States. Lowe’s partner and engineer was David J. Macpherson, a civil engineer graduate of Cornell University. The Mount Lowe Railway was a fulfillment of 19th century Pasadenans' desire to have a scenic mountain railroad to the crest of the San Gabriel Mountains." _Wikipedia

This park is a popular spot for rock climbers, but I'm not a rock climber and you don't have to be one to experience getting to the top. This park has huge boulders covered marked with graffiti, mini-caves marked with graffiti, and short trails perfect for last minute hikes so you can get wonderful views of the sunset.
“Back in the 1800s, though, the Shoshone were a source of much conflict. The native people fought hard against what they saw as encroachment by the Spanish, and later by American trappers and settlers. According to historians and reviews by California psychics, more blood has been spilled in this small canyon than in any other part of the Santa Ana Mountains. That’s a dubious honor to hold, and it’s one reason why Black Star Canyon is so very haunted."
Location : Borrego Road to Red Rock Canyon trail, Foothill Ranch, CA
Took a hike up the Borrego Canyon trail to the Red Rock Canyon trail ending. Honestly, the trail would've more enjoyable if the plants didn't dry up and there twigs and thorns balls all on the ground and getting into my shoes.
The was taken on a hot and muggy day. The weather was so unpleasant even by the ocean we caught some of the suns fiery. But it was nice time to take pics.

While I and two of my cousin were hiking through a dry river bed with a little stream flowing through it, we came across an old infrastructure, probably remnants of a dam, took some pictures until I notice something small hopping around and spotting this little wonder.
